A PERENNIAL growing to 1m with heart-shaped grey-green leaves and pretty flowers in pink or white with lilac spots. Known to be attractive to bees, and cats. Prefers well-drained soil in a full sun position. Can grow in very alkaline soils. Leaves and flowers are edible and it has a long history of medicinal use.

Description

Fresh young leaves are eaten in salads while older leaves are used in cooking, and either fresh or dried can be used to make a delicious herbal tea. With a long history of medicinal use, it is
antianxiety, nervine and sedative. It is good fold colds and fevers and for digestive complaints. Said to repel insects such as ants and beetles as well as mosquitoes.
