Mint – Mojito/Julep mint

$7.50

A hardy PERENNIAL growing to 30cm with bright green ovate leaves. Can grow in almost any soil, tolerates heavy clay soil. It preferes moist soil in a full sun or semi-shade position.
Sweet, flavourful mint leaves can be eaten raw or cooked; is lovely in drinks, and can be used, like other mints, for as a herbal remedy.

Description

With a sweet taste, the leaves are eaten raw in salads, especially fruit salads, or added to cooling summer drinks. A herbal tea is made from the leaves.
As a home herbal remedy it can be used for headaches, fevers, or minor digestive complaints.
Rats and mice dislike any mint, and this can be grown to discourage these pests.
