A PERENNIAL growing to 1.3m with whitish evergreen leaves and flowers that are white to pale lavender and attractive to bees. Prefers well-drained soil in a full sun position. Seed is eaten raw or cooked, and it has some traditional medicinal use.

Description

Seeds can be ground into a powder and used as a mush or mixed with cereals. Leaf infusion is used as a blood tonic
and treating coughs and colds (tea or sweat bath)
Leaves are a good natural shampoo, hair dye and hair straightener. Well known as an incense to fumigate homes (smudge sticks).
