Savory Winter Creeping : seeds

This PERENNIAL savory grows to 10cm with a creeping habit and white flowers which are very attractive to bees.

Prefers full sun in well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soiland very alkaline soils.

It can tolerate drought.

Leaves are used like summer or winter savory, and are especially good cooked with beans. Some medicinal uses.

Description

Leaves are eaten raw or cooked, fresh or dried and has a a peppery flavour. Mainly used in cooking stews and soups, or dishes with beans.

As with summer savory and winter savory, it is a good digestive aid, is antiseptic, aromatic, carminative, and stomachic and relieves wasp stings. The growing plant repels insect pests.
