Strawberry

Pink Flowering Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa ‘Lipstick’) is a perennial herb in the Rosaceae family. It prefers a sunny to lightly shaded site with moist, well-drained, fertile soil and is hardy across New Zealand. Growing 15–25 cm high and 30–40 cm wide, it forms neat mounds of dark green foliage with bright rosy-pink flowers followed by small, sweet, edible strawberries. Grown both for its culinary fruit and ornamental value, it’s ideal for pots, borders, and edible cottage gardens, and attracts bees and butterflies.
