Artichoke – Imperial Star

Perennial vegetable. A productive and high quality green glove artichoke that produces 6-8 mature buds averaging 10cm on a bushy plant in the first season from seed.
Artichokes are delightful vegetables and a sought after gourmet ingredient in many Mediterranean dishes. The young buds can be eaten raw, although they are mostly eaten more mature requiring the buds to be steamed, baked, braised, boiled, or grilled before consumption. The flavour is nutty, tangy, and grassy.
