Basil – African

African basil is a perennial basil, although it may still grow as an annual in temperate or cold climates. It is native to Africa and is also known as Clove Basil.
With its strong clove like flavour it is used in cooking or fresh. It is also a medicinal herb traditionally used in Africa to combat a variety of diseases such as diabetes, cancer, inflammation, anaemia, diarrhoea, pains, and fungal and bacterial infections.
