Cavolo Nero

Also known as black kale, black cabbage, Tuscan kale, or by its Italian names lacinato and nero de Toscana, this kale has distinctive long, dark green, almost black leaves. It grows to an almost cabbage-tree like structure in its second year. Use as a vegetable for cooking or use young leaves fresh. A superfood, it is very nutritious.
