Capsicums are a frost and cold tender EVERGREEN PERENNIAL that is often grown as an annual. Chenzo is a compact branching plant that produces a heavy crop of 8-10cm black peppers that matures through green to bright red and are rated mild to hot (45,000 SHU). Prefers growing in a moist well-drained soil in full sun.

Used fresh as a condiment or roasted, dried, or canned. Peppers are often used fresh in salads, or cooked into pasta sauces, marinades, made into hot sauces etc. They are very high in vitamin C and other vitamins and minerals making them highly nutritive. It is mostly the very pungent cayenne peppers that are used medicinally.
