Forget-me-not

An EVERGREEN PERENNIAL of the borage family that grows between 30cm and 70cm. Oblong to linear leaves grow in a basal rosette and are hairy on both sides. The flowers are small and blue with yellow centers.
It prefers moist or wet soil and can grow in water, and in heavy clay. It can grow in full sun or semi-shade.
It has some historic use as a herbal medicine for the treatment of whooping cough and bronchitis.
