With a very sweet taste (300 times sweeter than sucrose) it is often used as a sweetener.

Stevia

Stevia is a frost tender ANNUAL growing 50cm. The leaves are sweet in taste (with a little bitter after-taste).
Prefers moist well-drained soil in a full sun position. Does well in not and humid conditions.
The leaves are used raw or cooked as a sweetener.
