Description
Tomatoes are a quintessential vegetable for the home gardener. With a great variety of heirloom or open pollinated cultivars to choose from, there is sure to be a tomato right for you and your household.
Here are links to the varieties I’ve grown this season:
- Cherry Tomatoes (small, snack size, delicious): CHERRIES2025
- Globe / Standard Tomatoes (small to medium, mostly globe (some bell) shaped, a classic tomato for salads, slicing etc.): GLOBES
- Paste Tomatoes (plum shaped, or elongated (sausage shaped), excellent for sauces because of the dense flesh, but great fresh eating too): PASTES2025
- Beefsteak Tomatoes (large tomatoes with dense flesh and not a lot of seed gel, the largest of the tomatoes, excellent flavours, great slicers): BEEFSTEAK2025
- Oxheart Tomatoes (oxheart shaped beefsteaks) : OXHEART_AND_DWARFS
- Dwarfs (special tomatoes that don’t grow tall vines, but still set fruit through the season and great heirloom flavours; great for small spaces): OXHEART_AND_DWARFS
- Anthocyanin rich Tomatoes (stunning colours with black/blue shoulders or shading, fantastic source of bioavailable anthocyanins): ANTHOS2025
Numbers are limited – only 10-15 per variety.
