Wormwood

Wormwood is a PERENNIAL growing to 1m with grey-green aromatic feathery leaves.
Prefers well-drained soil in a full sun or semi-shaded position. Can tolerate drought.
Occasionaly used as a flavouring, the plant is mostly used medicinally.
Leaves are sometimes used as flavouring, but caution is advised.
Wormwood is very bitter and has a long history of medicinal use. It is used to clear intestinal parasites and as a remedy for liver and gallbladder problems. It improves digestion.
Use under medicical supervision.
It is strongly repellant and used as a strewing herb or in sachets in linen closets. An infusion is said to repel slugs and snails.
