Rocket – Perpetual/Winter/Perennial

Eruca sylvestris. This is a genuinely perennial form of SALAD ROCKET, with an almost identical though perhaps slightly stronger flavour. It grows about 30cm tall sending out short-lived woody branches each year from a central stem. The leaves are used mainly as an ingredient of mixed salads, though the flavour is very strong.
