Chilli – Habanero Yellow

Typically, a ripe habanero chili is 26 cm and are very hot (100,000 350,000 SHU) and with its heat, sweet flavour and floral aroma make them popular in hot sauces and spicy foods. Prefers growing in a moist well-drained soil in full sun.

Chilli – Jalapeno
$7.50Capsicums are a frost and cold tender EVERGREEN PERENNIAL that is often grown as an annual, reaching up to 1m in height. A medium-sized chili pepper pod is 510 cm long and hangs down with a round, firm, smooth flesh. It is mild to medium (1,000 – 20,000 SHU). Commonly picked and consumed while still green, it is occasionally allowed to fully ripen and turn red, orange or yellow. Prefers growing in a moist well-drained soil in full sun.

Chives – Common
$6.50A BULB that grows to 30cm, preferring a moist but well-drained soil and full sun or semi shade. Tolerates heavy clay. Chives have hollow stems (or scapes) up to 50cm and tubular leaves that are just slightly shorter than the scapes. The flowers are pale purple, and produced in a dense inflorescence.
Leaves with their mild onion flavour is used in cooking, either fresh, or cooked, or dried. Long history of nutritive healing. -
Chives – Garlic
$6.50A BULB growing to 30cm. Not frost tender, it prefers well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerates alkaline soils and somewhat drought resistant. Garlic chives have strap-shaped leaves and produces many white flowers in a round cluster. Leaves are used fresh or cooked where a mild onion-garlic flavour is needed. Flowers and flower buds can be eaten raw or cooked.

Coreopsis – Plains
$6.50Coreopsis is a flowering ANNUAL growing growing up to 1m. The abundant mahogony coloured flowers are noted for attracting pollinating insects. Coreopsis prefers a well drained soil in full sun, but it can tolerate some drought when well established. Self-seeds freely. Altough it is generally grown as an ornamental plant or dye herb, a tea can be made from the whole plant. It has some historic medicinal use.

Coriander
$6.50Coriander is an ANNUAL that grows to 50cm with broadly lobed very fragrant leaves at the base of the plant turning feathery and slender higher on the flowering stems. Flowers are borne in small umbels and followed by round seeds.
It prefers a moist soil in semi-shaded positions as full sun and dry soil leads to bolting. It is a world-renowned flavouring as a fresh herb – cilantro, or dried spice – coriander seeds. It also has remarkable medicinal qualities.
