Alpine Strawberry White : seeds
$4.25Alpine Strawberry is a PERENNIAL growing to 30cm with trifoliate leaves, white flowers and sweet, small white when ripe strawberry fruit.
Prefers moist well-drained soil in full sun or semi-shade, and can grow in heavy clay soil.
Fruit and leaves are edible and has medicinal use. It is used as a cosmetic herb.

$4.25Romano beans are an Italian flat bean that is juicy, with a sweet flavour and great crunch.

Bergamot Lemon : seeds
$4.25An ANNUAL growing to 60cm with several stems from the base lined with pairs of lance-shaped leaves that emit a lemony odour when crushed. The purple flowers are highly attractive to butterflies and bees. Prefers moist soil in a full sun or semi-shaded position.
Leaves are edible and used as a condiment and for brewing a herbal tea.

Calendula – Mix : seeds
$4.25Calendula is a popular flowering ANNUAL that grows to 60cm with oblong-lanceolate leaves and single flowerheads of bright orange or yellow. Flowers are pollinated by bees and it is a well-known companion plant. Calendula prefers any well drained soil but can grow in very poor soils and can tolerate very acidic or very alkaline soils. It can grow in semi shade but grows best in full sun. The plant can flower nearly year-round in favourable conditions, and the flower petals are edible and medicinal.

Celery : seeds
$4.25I grew both the heritage “Nutty” celery that has a dense strong green stem and nutty flavour and a hollow, red stemmed variety called “Peppermint Stick”, these seeds are the result of self-seeded plants from those, so it could be either or, or a cross of the two. The self seeded plants that keep coming up in my garden are delicious and strong growing.

Cornflower – Mix : seeds
$4.25An ANNUAL growing to 1m with grey-green branched stems and 1-4cm lanceolate leaves. Flowerheads are commonly in an intense blue, but with white, pink, purple and even dark, almost black varieties existing. Flowers are known to attract bees and other pollinating insects. Prefers well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor, alkaline soils. Full sun position is best and tolerates some degree of drought.
Shoots and flowers are edible and it has a long history of use as a medicine, although rarely used today.

An attractive plant to grow in the mixed perennial border. This is a mix of all the border dahlia and named tuber dahlias from my garden. Lucky dip!

$4.25An ANNUAL growing to 80cm with slender hollow stems and alternate, finely divided, softly delicate leaves. Small yellow flowers are born in umbels. Prefers a full sun position in a moist and well-drained soil. Edible leaves and seeds, it is also good as a companion plant to attract hoverflies and other predatory insects. Highly nutritious, it has a long history of medicinal use.

Lettuce Leafy Mix : seeds
$4.25Lettuce in general: an ANNUAL/BIENNIAL growing to 90cm.
Prefers moist well-drained soil in semi-shade of full sun position.
Mainly cultivated for the edible leaves which are commonly used in salads and sandwiches.

Marigold Mixed French : seeds
$4.25A flowering ANNUAL growing to 50cm (T. patula). Most species have pinnate green leaves and bright blooms in golden, orange, yellow, and white colors, often with maroon highlights.
It prefers well-drained soil in a full sun position, and is tolerant of heavy clay soil.
Commonly grown as a companion plant in the vegetable garden, or a bright and cheery flower in the ornamental garden, marigolds are edible and some have medicinal qualities too.

Marigold Texas Tarragon : seeds
$4.25Mexican Tarragon is a PERENNIAL growing to 80cm with an upright to bushy habit with many unbranching stems. Leaves are linear, shiny green and anise-tarragon scented.
Clusters of small golden yellow flower heads on the ends of the stems appear in late summer.
Prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Can grow in heavy clay soil.
